Mostly what I did was invested the extra capital in the stock market, I doubt I created any jobs, and I generated income that, again, is subject to much less tax then the average work a day pays. People like a of mine work for making $1, , per year. But only $ k of that is in salary, almost all of the rest is in the form of stock grants. There is an argument to be made that he should have 90% of that income taxed, or that the loopholes in taxation should be addressed so that his investment income is taxed more in line with his salary. But the emotionally based yelling and screaming about fairness is pointless. I was in New York on business about a week ago, and I made it a point to walk through the Occupy Wall Street camps. I saw some people there with legitimate complaints. Laid off factory workers, laid off teachers etc. But I saw just as lazy people who were just looking for a handout because they are too lazy, afraid, who knows, to go out and earn it themselves.
